Thank You Letter from Terry Jones
In mid-July, I got another pleasant surprise in the mail. I'd sent a
copy of my finished thesis to Terry Jones, as a way of thanking him
for his help. He sent me a short letter, in thanks.
It was on letterhead reading "Fegg Features Limited."
Dear Alyce,
Thanks a lot for your thesis. I'm looking forward to reading it -- I hope I understand it when I do!

I'm sure the author of Chaucer's Knight had no trouble understanding my honors thesis comparing two comedy schools, The Oxbridge Mafia in the U.K. and the Second City Players in the U.S. The thesis is now online at Penn State's Pattee Library, in a dusty, neglected corner with the rest of the university theses. I ought to visit it some day; it's probably lonely.
